Old friends

conpoulos.jpg

We visited old friends (read Carrie’s amazing book reviews here) in D.C. this weekend and just laughed and ate our way through the weekend. I had the best sandwich of my life at a sandwich shop called Jetties. This miracle of a meal was called the Surfside: Carved turkey, havarti, bacon, avocado spread, whole grain mustard on sourdough! We also checked out the Muppets exhibit at the International Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution and got a bit of a tan in the D.C heat.

Oh, so that’s where you were! What a fantastic trip! I love visiting old friends. There’s nothing like it…laughing on the couch and sharing stories over wine…I need to do that more often :)
