Stars in my hotel pool…

How amazing does this hotel pool look? It’s the Observatory Hotel in Sydney where Love You Big went to celebrate handing in her PhD! Lucky gal! I’m fantasizing about a nice hotel weekend (room service, fluffy beds, great toiletries) somewhere in the US — where should I go? Where have you been that you just loved? This won’t happen with the crumbling economy so the sky is the limit! Let’s have fun dreaming together!

Eee! So glad you like it too, Abbey - it was so sumptuous and very oh la la!

Hope the teaching/thesis isn’t too draining - hang in there - it’s worth it!

I stayed at this hotel in Costa Rica that was the top of a 2-story house (they had a specific word for it but I forget now) on a hill and one whole side was windows that gave you a picture-perfect view of a volcano. I’d wake up in the middle of the night and watch lava spill down the sides. It was, needless to say, incredible.

Stateside, I’d go to the Ace Hotel in Portland again any day. Love love love.
