Inspiration: Please Sir
November is a tough month, it’s dark, it’s cold (or in NYC, rainy and cold) and Thanksgiving always feel SO FAR AWAY. The end of day light savings always puts me in a bit of a depression, so I have to fight for things that make me happy. One of the things that’s been working lately besides bacon sandwiches (you think I’m kidding about the bacon but I’m not) has been the delightful blog Please Sir. Day-in, Day-out she manages to find the most beautiful spaces with a clean aesthetic that I just love and inspiring artists all in a fresh package. Diana, you’re a ray of light in dark times! (Okay, a little melodrama for your Friday…) Other blogs I’ve been slurping up on a daily basis: Even Cleveland, Cup of Jo, Delicious Smitten (who knew I was interested in what Men Wish Women Knew About Sex?), and Fed By Birds.

WOW Abbey thank you, thank you for your amazing words! I am truly honored. Your blog equally keeps me inspired and excited each day. I’m under the weather today so it really helped to read this and feel better. I’ll be sure to reply to your email soon…trying to recover a bit first so I don’t write back in crazy gibberish…hehe. Diana has been knocking them out of the park lately, hasn’t she? I pretty much want to pack up Sean, the dog, and my books and decamp to one of those houses posthaste!
(And you are turning my head, putting me in such fine company! Your blog is always a point of light in my day, so it makes me happy that I can try and return the favor a little bit.)

Diana always always always puts a smile on her face. I’d love to go flea market shopping with her. Or with you, for that matter! Now, I’m going to click ’submit’ and I truly hope this one posts. Because my last few comments have gone POOF! into thin air.
PS: It got dark today (and soggy) at 4:45pm. Not fun!
