My Handmade Christmas: Stuffed Wool Animals

These two cuties from Martha Stewart are made from old sweaters (cost: given that I’ve been saving a couple of Tim’s for a project like this: ZERO). These I have in mind for my friends with new babies. The complete how-to is found here. More handmade ideas here.

God bless Martha, what would we do without her crazy overachiever-ness?

And those are just adorable. Now I need to add those to my to do list.

I saw these and completely fell in love with them. I made a couple of the pigs last weekend and they turned out really cute. They’re pretty easy to make.

Um–cutest things ever! I just love the idea of ‘upcycling’ old sweaters for projects like this. Martha also has a how-to for pillows from old sweaters…I might have to take a trip to goodwill and hit up the sweater rack!

You might want to felt the knits before cutting out the pieces, especially if they’re woolen. This way you could most likely wash the animals when they get dirty with little risk of the material shrinking.

    Love your blog!
