Inspiration in Easter Eggs

picture-73

Growing up we had an easter egg tree just like this.

We decorated eggs the Ukrainian way, with a kit that looked JUST like this one. (Thanks, Kotori!)

Then, I spied these easter eggs, decorated with natural dyes (Thanks, Mint!)

And these too!

Finally, loving this way to recycle men’s ties via LMNOP

I had heard that you shouldnt eat the eggs colored with silk ties since egg shells are porous and there may be chemicals in the dyes. I’ve eaten them and have lived to tell about it.

I had an easter egg tree too growing up!!! Also I once saw a Reading Rainbow that featured this woman whose russian grandmother taught her how to paint eggs, the intricate detail was amazing.
