The name truly is awful but I want one, too. Bonus: you can get APPS on it (like Feather!) However, the real reason I stopped over was to say good luck with your thesis…if I didn’t miss the “good luck” deadline, that is! xo
yeah I wouldn’t get one. I love my touch – if you couldn’t read on that you won’t be able to read on this – its just bigger not better technology. i do not have a kindle. check out these comparisons and the subsequent comments. I’d just wait – steve jobs doesn’t think people read so this is not for reading – and the size is so small – really 499 gets you nothing. my touch is 32GB and with apps, podcasts for my son and music we are at 23GB already…http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/27/ipad-or-kindle-will-our-wallets-decide/

No desire for a Kindle, loved the iphone but I can’t even read anything on my itouch, so it was kind of useless. This is my dream product!

Honestly, I can’t even believe this thing… Not sure if I want it or not, but it’s beautiful just to look at! Apple continually amazes me.
